You're Doing Well... But It Still Feels Unclear

On paper, things look good.

You’re earning a solid income.  Your career or business is moving forward.
You’re building a life for your family.

But underneath it all, there’s often a question:

“Am I actually doing this right?”

Between the mortgage, kids, investing, work, and everything else competing for your attention, it’s not always obvious what the right financial decisions are.

That’s where I come in – to help you make sense of it all.

My Story

I started my professional career as an electrical engineer, drawn to problem solving and figuring out how things worked.

But over time, I realised the career wasn’t what I hoped it would be.

So naturally, I did what any rational person would do…
I started a completely unrelated business teaching breakdancing.

And got absolutely steamrolled.

Turns out, passion alone doesn’t pay the bills.

Looking back, my lack of financial knowledge wasn’t just a weak spot… it was the reason I kept making the same mistakes in bigger and more expensive ways.

I didn’t track cash flow.
I didn’t price properly.
I didn’t understand tax or debt.

I wasn’t running a business, I was riding a runaway train, hoping it would all work itself out.

After 8 long years, I finally shut it down, but that experience lit a fire under me.

I never wanted to be in that position – stressed, uncertain, and completely out of control with money.

So I became obsessed with understanding it.

I started getting my own finances in order.  I studied financial planning.  And somewhere along the way, what started as an attempt to fix my own mistakes became something I genuinely wanted to understand.

Within the next 12 months, I completed my Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and married the woman who had stood beside me through all of it.

Since then, I’ve spent several years working in financial services.  But becoming a husband and dad changed the way I thought about money again.

It became less about accumulating as much as possible, and more about what money actually allows us to do.

Security.  Time with the people we love.  The freedom to make different choices.  And the ability to build a life that actually feels like ours.

That’s why I created Committed Wealth.

To help people make sense of their money, make better decisions with it, and ultimately use it to build the life they actually want.

The goal isn’t simply to accumulate more.  It’s to have more choices about how you live.

How I Think About Financial Planning

Financial planning isn’t about maximising every dollar.

It’s about making deliberate decisions about what your money needs to do for you and your family.

Sometimes that means investing more.
Sometimes it means paying down debt.
Sometimes it means keeping more cash, helping your kids, working less, or simply giving yourself more breathing room.

There isn’t one financially “perfect” life.

My role is to help you understand the trade-offs, make informed decisions, and build a plan that works in the real world… not just on a spreadsheet.

Money is a tool.  The life you build with it is the point.
