Financial planning isn’t about choosing a package or accumulating as much as possible.
It starts with understanding where you are, what matters to you, and the decisions you’re trying to make.
From there, we’ll determine the advice you actually need, and agree on the scope and fee before any work begins.
Depending on your circumstances, your advice may include:
Cash flow & debt – structuring your money, managing debt and creating room for the things that matter now.
Super & investments – building an investment strategy aligned with your goals, timeframe and comfort with risk.
Family & future goals – balancing today’s lifestyle with education, property, family support and longer-term goals.
Protecting your family – understanding the financial risks to your family and putting appropriate protection in place.
Major life decisions – modelling the financial impact of decisions like changing careers, reducing work, upgrading your home or helping your children.
Retirement & financial independence – understanding what “enough” looks like and building towards greater choice over how and when you work.
Good advice doesn’t mean replacing every product you already have.
If your existing super fund, investments, insurance or financial structures are appropriate, there’s no reason to change them simply for the sake of making things easier to administer.
The goal is to improve your financial position – not create unnecessary activity.
1. Start with a conversation
We talk about what’s happening in your life, what’s important to you and where you feel uncertain.
2. Understand the whole picture
Before recommending anything, I take the time to understand your finances, priorities and the decisions ahead.
3. Agree on the advice you need
I’ll explain the areas where I believe advice can add value, what the work involves and the fixed fee before we proceed.
4. Build the plan
We work through the strategies, trade-offs and decisions and turn them into a clear plan.
5. Put it into action
Where you’ve engaged me to help implement the advice, I’ll help turn the recommendations into actual changes.
6. Keep working together, if it makes sense
Ongoing advice is available where your circumstances justify it. You don’t need to sign up for an ongoing relationship simply to receive advice.
Advice fees are based on the scope and complexity of the work required – not the amount of money you have to invest.
